My name is Dana Heaton and I’m an elementary school teacher in Frederick, Maryland. I live in a historic home in Middletown, Maryland with my husband and 5 children.

I’ve been a resident of Frederick County all my life and absolutely love this small town community. I studied Elementary Education at Mount St. Mary’s University, acquiring a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education before going on to attain dual Master’s Degrees in Education at Hood College. I draw inspiration from children and their inquisitive nature. My passion for empowering students to reach their highest potential fuels my desire to make a positive change with kids!

My mission is to focus on the gifts of each student and facilitate real-world opportunities to showcase their talents and inspire them to make a difference in the world.
